Cookie Policy

Effective October 8, 2026

Cookies are small files a website asks your browser to store, so it can recognize you on your next request. This page lists every cookie this site uses and why.

The short version: we use a small number. Most are strictly necessary and are not set until you do something that requires them; two of our own measure how the site itself is used, so we can fix what is slow or hard to find. Four more come from HubSpot, the marketing service we use to see which of our campaigns bring visitors here. There are no advertising cookies, and none of them are used to show you ads on other websites.

1.What we set, and when

The usage-measurement and marketing analytics cookies are set on your first page. The rest appear only once you take the action that needs them.

CookiePurpose, and how long it lasts
preferred_branch_idRemembers which store you selected, so pricing and stock show for the right location instead of defaulting on every page. Set when you choose a store. Lasts one year. Strictly necessary.
sb-…-auth-tokenKeeps you signed in and identifies your company so you see your own pricing, orders and invoices. Set when you sign in and removed when you sign out. Lasts up to approximately 400 days unless you sign out sooner. Strictly necessary.
sf_sesGroups the pages you view into a single visit, so we can tell one person browsing ten pages from ten people browsing one. It holds a random identifier and nothing about you. Expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. Usage measurement.
sf_vidTells a returning visit from a first one, for the same reason. Also a random identifier, readable only by this site and never sent anywhere else. Lasts one year. Usage measurement.
beta-accessPresent only while the site is in limited release: records that a valid access password was entered, so you are not asked on every page. Lasts 30 days. Strictly necessary.
__hstc, hubspotutkSet by HubSpot. Recognize a returning browser so HubSpot can tell us which campaign or link brought a visit, and how many visits come back. They hold a random identifier, not your name or account. Last about six months. Marketing analytics (HubSpot).
__hssc, __hssrcSet by HubSpot. Group page views into one visit and note when a new visit starts. Last 30 minutes and until you close your browser, respectively. Marketing analytics (HubSpot).

2.What we do not set

  • No advertising or retargeting cookies, and no ad networks. Vendor promotions on our homepage are ordinary images served from this site that link to pages on this site. We do not share information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • No other third-party analytics. Apart from HubSpot, described above, usage measurement is first-party: the data stays in our own systems and is not sent to Google Analytics or any comparable service.
  • No session recording. We count pages, searches and carts; we do not replay your screen, and we do not record what you type except the search terms you submit.
  • No social media tracking pixels.
  • No cookies that identify you by name to anyone outside this site. HubSpot’s cookies carry a random identifier, not your name or account.

The cookies that keep you signed in, remember your store and carry limited-release access are strictly necessary to deliver a service you asked for. The two usage-measurement cookies are not strictly necessary, but they are first-party, contain only a random identifier, and are never shared. The HubSpot cookies are not strictly necessary either. Blocking them in your browser stops that measurement and changes nothing else about how the site works.

3.Third-party content

Some pages load content from other companies. Your browser fetches that content directly from them, which means those providers can see your IP address and basic request information even though we are not sharing anything about you with them.

  • Video. Our About page embeds a video using the privacy-enhanced player, which sets no cookies unless you press play. We verified this: loading the page leaves no third-party cookies behind.
  • Manufacturer part images.Parts lookup displays product photographs served from a manufacturer's image host. These are images only and set no cookies.

4.Managing cookies

Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies in its settings. Because the cookies here are the ones that keep you signed in and remember your store, blocking or clearing them has a practical cost: you will be signed out, and the site will stop remembering which location you buy from. Nothing else about the site depends on them.

Signing out clears your session cookie. You can remove the store preference at any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser.

5.Related policies

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and who we share it with. Our Terms & Conditions govern use of the site and orders placed through it.

6.Changes

We will update this page if the cookies we use change. The effective date at the top will change with it.
